Helen,
One of the things I often hear from women is this:
“I understand my patterns… but they still show up.”
People-pleasing. Perfectionism. Over-responsibility.
The reason insight alone doesn’t always change these patterns is that they live in the nervous system, not just the thinking mind.
Earlier in life, the system learned certain strategies to secure important developmental needs:
Safety Connection Belonging Worth
For example:
A system that feared losing connection might develop people-pleasing.
A system that feared shame might develop perfectionism.
A system that feared exclusion might learn to stay small or invisible.
These strategies once helped protect us.
But over time they can begin limiting how we live, express ourselves, and lead our lives.
Inside Becoming Self-Led, we work with these patterns directly using three approaches:
• IFS-informed parts work to understand how the internal system organizes itself • EFT tapping to regulate the nervous system and release emotional patterns stored in the body • Self-leadership development to build the clarity, boundaries, and confidence needed to live from deeper values.
As the internal system reorganizes, many people begin to notice changes such as:
greater emotional steadiness clearer boundaries less internal conflict more authentic self-expression greater self-trust.
The group begins Thursday, and there are only a few places available.
If you’d like more details, simply reply to this email.
Warmly, Helen
