Helen,
If you have been reading my emails this week, you may have noticed that I have been showing up in your inbox every day.
I am participating in my coach’s Get It Done Week, and one of our assignments is to email our subscribers daily.
I decided to use the week to strengthen my selling muscles.
Well, my mind had some commentary about that decision.
Nobody wants to hear from you every day.
You are bothering people.
Then came the guilt because, according to this part of me, I was becoming an enormous nuisance in your inbox.
And I still sent the emails.
I listened to the mind chatter. I acknowledged the guilt. I tapped when I needed to, and then I practiced doing the thing I had decided mattered for my business.
That experience taught me something about becoming the woman who creates financial ease.
You become her by practicing new responses while the familiar thoughts and feelings are still present.
This week, we have explored what can interfere with your ability to take the actions that support your financial future.
On Monday, we looked at what happens in your body when financial stress activates your nervous system.
On Tuesday, we listened to the mental chatter that predicts what could go wrong.
On Wednesday, we explored the painful emotions underneath financial worry and how those emotions can obscure your creative, confident, resourceful self.
Yesterday, we considered how a past financial experience may still be influencing your response today.
Understanding these patterns matters because awareness creates the possibility of choice.
Then comes practice.
You may understand that your work deserves to be well compensated and still struggle to state your price when another person is listening.
You may know that looking at your finances would help you make clearer decisions and continue avoiding your accounts because of the emotions that arise.
The space between what you understand and what you can consistently do under pressure is your developmental gap.
That gap gives you information about what you need to strengthen next.
Perhaps you need a specific skill. Your nervous system may need manageable experiences of taking the action and remaining present. You may need support or a structure that helps you practice consistently.
A useful question is:
What am I being invited to learn, practice, strengthen, or put in place?
For me, this week, the answer was clear.
I needed to practice selling.
I needed to send the emails while the part of me that worried about bothering you was still present. Each email gave me another experience of remaining visible and inviting people into my work.
This is what a financial growth pathway looks like.
You begin with the financial outcome you want, whether that is greater security, being paid well, more freedom, managing and growing your money, or contributing more generously.
Then you consider the woman you are becoming as you create it.
What does she need to learn?
What does she need to become more capable of doing?
What support or structure would help her continue?
Your next step needs to be meaningful and manageable.
If financial stress makes you avoid your accounts, your growth edge may be tapping first and reviewing one account for ten minutes.
If fear makes you disappear when your business is quiet, your growth edge may be making one clear invitation to work with you.
You take the step and notice what happens. Then you use what you learned to decide what you need next.
Over time, those experiences become evidence that you can respond differently.
That is the deeper work I support women through in Financial Ease Breakthrough, my five-session private coaching experience.
We begin with the financial situation creating the most stress. We explore what is happening in your nervous system, mind, and emotions, including any earlier experiences that may be influencing your response.
Then we create a growth pathway that helps you move toward the financial security and freedom you want.
If you would like to explore what that pathway could look like for you, I invite you to book a complimentary Financial Ease Clarity Call.
