Helen,

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been diving deep into research and mapping 11 cultural money narratives that women unconsciously carry.

For generations, women have been taught invisible stories about money — not just personal beliefs, but collective narratives shaped by history, family, religion, and society.

These stories get coded into our nervous systems. They shape how we think, feel, and act around money — becoming an inner money blueprint passed down through generations.

That blueprint becomes identity — who we believe we are, who others are, and what we think is possible. And from these fixed identities, women often undervalue themselves, under-earn, or miss out on building the wealth skills that match their true potential.

✨ Narrative 1: “Money Power Is Not Yours”

For centuries, women were denied financial agency — unable to own property, open bank accounts, or access credit without a man’s permission.

The laws may have changed, but the residue lives on.

💡 How it shows up today:
– Waiting for approval before making financial decisions
– Shrinking back from leadership or wealth creation
– Believing you’re “bad with money,” even when you’re not

💭 The hidden beliefs:
“I need permission before I act.”
“Men are better with money.”
“If I step into power, I’ll be judged.”

🌟 The shift:
From seeking permission → to self-authorizing financial leadership
From waiting for approval → to owning your agency
From shame → to alignment with your innate power

Why This Matters

These cultural money narratives are not just ideas floating around society — they become part of our self-concept. Over time, they form what Dr. Claire Zammit calls the inner glass ceiling: invisible barriers at the level of identity that quietly dictate what we believe we deserve, what we accept, and what we think is possible.

Even brilliant, capable women find themselves “bumping up against” these unseen barriers — overgiving, undervaluing, or struggling to be recognized — despite having all the knowledge and strategies.

That’s because the obstacle isn’t outside; it’s within the inherited identity patterns shaped by family, culture, and survival experiences.

This is why I do the work I do.

My Vision

My mission is to disrupt the cultural wealth narratives that for generations have told women they are not enough, not safe, not capable, not deserving.

I am here to empower women to reclaim their inherent worthiness, feel safe and capable of becoming the authors of their wealth story, and generate prosperity on their own terms.

I am not fighting for equality inside systems never built for us. Equality implies leveling the old playing field. My vision is greater: to create an entirely new field where women define wealth, power, and possibility for themselves — and for the generations who come after.

Why Me

I bring the full force of lived and professional authority.

  • As a former psychotherapist, I understand how trauma and conditioning live in the body.

  • As an immigrant from Uganda, I’ve lived the clash of cultural wealth stories and know the cost of internalized scarcity.

  • As a Black woman, I embody the disruption of centuries of narratives that told us money power wasn’t ours.

This is why I can hold the space for women to feel safe, worthy, and capable of becoming the authors of their own wealth destiny.
