Helen,

This morning, I was out walking with a friend, and we started talking about money.

I was telling her about a workshop I am thinking of teaching. As we talked, I found myself thinking about how rarely women speak openly about what is happening in our financial lives.

We talk about our relationships. We share what is happening with our health, our families, our work, and our dreams.

Money can feel much harder to talk about.

There is so much shame wrapped around it.

Shame about how much we earn. Shame about how much we have saved. Shame about debt. Shame about the financial decisions we have made. Shame about needing help.

Many women carry their money worries quietly because they believe they should have figured it out by now. (You probably know this feeling, Helen, even if it shows up somewhere different for you than it does for me.)

So I started asking myself: where do we begin if we want to create a different relationship with money?

I believe one of the first places we begin is by understanding what happens in our minds and bodies when money feels uncertain.

Last week, Scarcity Sarah had a major freak-out.

Scarcity Sarah is the part of me who worries there will not be enough money. She tends to get especially loud when clients complete their coaching packages, a large amount of money leaves my bank account, or I spend money on essentials while very little money is coming in.

She starts studying the numbers. Then she carries me several months into the future and begins trying to solve a financial disaster that has yet to happen.

My body becomes tense. My thoughts start racing. It becomes harder to think clearly because she believes everything must be fixed immediately.

Her fear makes sense. She learned that staying alert around money could help protect me.

Last week, I sat with her. I listened to what she was afraid would happen. I used tapping to help my body release some of the fear she was carrying.

As the intensity settled, I could see my current situation more clearly. I could look at the money I had, the support available to me, and the actions I could take in my business.

This is what I call the Mind-Body-Money Connection— the pattern connecting what your body feels, what your mind predicts, and what you do next, underneath every money decision you make.

How many women have their own version of Scarcity Sarah? She may appear when you open your banking app. She may become frightened when business slows down, when a bill arrives, or when you think about how much money you need next month.

And here is the thing I keep coming back to — once you can see the pattern, you can work with it. You can meet the fear underneath it, and come back to what you actually want.

That is the experience I am creating inside a new 90-minute live workshop called Rewire Your Money Worries — where we will understand what is happening underneath your money worry, and calm it, together.

You will choose one or more money worries that have been affecting you, and I will guide you through what is happening in your body and mind around it. We will use tapping to work with what comes up, and you will leave with a clearer understanding of your pattern and one financial or business action you feel ready to take.

I am still finalizing the details, and I would love to hear from you.

When does your version of Scarcity Sarah tend to appear?

Reply and tell me. I read every response.

P.S. If Rewire Your Money Worries has piqued your interest, reply with the word WORRIES. I would love to know.
