Helen, how are you today?

Me? Its my week off and that means catching on things I didn't get to (business and personal) and rest which looks like catching up on some Asian dramas- I'm a sucker for them :)

Enough about me....

Last Wednesday I introduced you to something I am calling the Mind-Body Money Map — the process I use with every single client to uncover what is actually running underneath their money.

Before we go into that process together, I want to ask you something first.

What is it that you most deeply desire to experience and create in your finances?

I am asking because most women have never been asked that question directly. We talk about what we need, what we owe, what we should be doing. We rarely stop and ask what we actually deeply desire.

So let me ask it again and give you some language to work with.

  • Do you want to experience financial security that allows you to move through your life without the background hum of money worry? To stop doing the mental arithmetic at midnight and wake up knowing there is enough?
  • Do you want to experience a continuous flow of wealth — not just enough to cover this month, but genuine long-term prosperity that builds over time?
  • Do you want to feel fairly and generously compensated for what you bring — to receive recognition and reward that actually reflects the value of your skills, your gifts, your expertise?
  • Do you want financial independence — the freedom to make choices from desire rather than constraint, to take bold steps without money being the thing that stops you?
  • Do you want to understand how wealth is actually created and built — to move from earning income to building something that lasts?
  • And do you want to experience the freedom of generosity — to give, to contribute, to create opportunities for others — from a place of genuine abundance rather than sacrifice?

If there was a full-body yes as you read any of that — I invite you to feel those desires in your body. How good it would feel to actually experience and create that in your finances.

Because here is what I have come to understand after years of this work.

Most women know what they want. The desire is real. The vision is there. What is missing is not the goal. What is missing is an understanding of what keeps getting in the way.

So the real question is not what you want. It is what keeps getting in the way of it.

And in the work I do, what gets in the way is almost never strategy. It is almost never information. It is something running underneath — in the nervous system, in the identity, in the beliefs we carry about who we are when it comes to money and what is possible for someone like us. And often it is the wealth-building skills and capacities that were simply never taught to us.

Most coaches go straight to strategies. I don't. I begin by decoding how your nervous system is programmed around your money.

This is what I call the Mind-Body Money Connection. And it is the foundation of everything I do.

Here is how it works.

In the work that I do there are five kinds of money. Savings. Debt. Income. Income goal. And what is called toxic money — money entangled with a dynamic that keeps you disempowered, whether that is a battle over money that is owed to you or a dependency that requires you to stay smaller than you are.

And every single one of these five kinds of money carries three things.

  1. The first is your programmed beliefs — the habitual thoughts that run automatically when you look at the number. The thing you say to yourself over and over without even realizing you are saying it, and what you make it mean about who you are.
  2. The second is your feelings — the specific emotion that moves through your nervous system every time you think about that kind of money. The tightening. The bracing. The thing that happens in your body before your conscious mind has even registered what you are looking at.
  3. The third is your connected traumas — the past events, decisions, or circumstances that are still alive in your nervous system. The moments you look back on and think: if that hadn't happened, my money would not be this way. I would trust myself more. I would feel safer. I would be further along.

Here is what some of my clients have said as they went through this process.

One woman described the feeling that came up when she looked at her savings: "Fear and disappointment." Her thoughts were: "I should have been better."

Another woman looked at her debt and when asked to finish the sentence "This means I'm…" her answer was: "A loser."

Another felt overwhelmed, ashamed, frustrated, sad, never-ending, and helpless about her debt. Her thoughts were: "I'm never going to get rid of it. I don't want this for my kids." And when asked what the debt seemed to mean about her, she said: "This means I'm a failure." And later: "A lot of it is just kind of taking that blame on myself."

Now here is the thing that changes everything when women first see this clearly.

The feelings and beliefs were there first.

Your savings account did not create your anxiety. Your anxiety — wired into your nervous system long before you opened your first bank account — created the savings account you have right now. The income you are earning is not a reflection of what the market says you are worth. It is a reflection of what your nervous system believes you are safe to receive.

The set point is inside you. Not out there.

I know that can sound woo-woo. But I have sat with a lot of women and watched it land in real time.

When a woman sees the emotional pattern running through all five kinds of her money — when she stops reading it as a series of bad decisions and starts recognizing it as a nervous system doing exactly what it was programmed to do — something shifts. She can finally stop blaming herself and start understanding her wiring.

What's even more powerful is we use EFT tapping to update that old programming and wiring around your finances.

And when the inner world changes, the outer world changes with it.

That's what it looks like to rewire yourself for wealth.

So here is what I want you to do this week.

Think about your five kinds of money — your savings, your debt, your income, your income goal, and any money situation that feels entangled or stuck. And for each one, ask yourself: what is the first feeling that comes up in my body when I look at this? And where do you feel it?

Hit reply and tell me what comes up. Even just one word for one of them. I read everything. I write back.

P.S. If this resonated — if you recognized yourself in any of these patterns — I would love to support you to decode your own Mind-Body Money Map. That is exactly what a clarity session with me is for.
